Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums von On A Storyteller Night werden die Shows in Wolverhampton und London für eine kommende DVD aufgenommen!!
Es wird keinen Support Act an den beiden Tagen geben! Also: 100% Magnum! Klassiker, sowie Songs vom On A Storyteller Night Album und neue Songs von Brand New Morning werden Bestandteil der Shows werden. Es wird nur diese ZWEI On A Storyteller Night Shows geben. Hier noch ein paar Screenshots und ein Statement zum aktuellen Stand der kommenden DVD:

As I'm sitting here putting all the tapes of Back Street Kid into the edit suite, I thought you all might like an update on how the DVD is going.
We're in the rough cut stage at the moment, with the whole of the Storyteller set already in some semblance of order and the first set now coming together nicely (doing things back to front!). The edit has been fairly smooth so far ... we had 13 (unlucky?!) cameras. Although this may sound a lot, this editor still wishes that everyone who was there had had a camera so I could get every single angle on proceedings!
A few people have asked why film prodominantly at the Astoria? Well, apart from the obvious budget considerations of filming one rather than two nights, there is one big reason and that is that althought the Astoria is a b*tch of a venue for crew to work at - loads of staircases, parking restrictions, a frenzied load out due to the club night after the gig and not-nice smells coming out of the toilets - it has many more vantage points for cameras than the Wulfrun in Wolverhampton. Which has pretty much none. Simple but decisive. That's why the vidiot (ask a roadie) crew were shipped down the M40 from Magnum's back yard to film a gig in the big smoke.
Whilst the images are being cut together, the band and Mark Stuart have been working on the 5.1 audio mix and I'm expecting Mark to come over later on today with some updated mixes of the gig. It's sounding awesome.
As well as the gig we got a load of footage of soundcheck and rehearsals which may crop up in one form or another on the final disc. We also spent last Wednesday at the studio filming interviews with Bob, Tony, Mark and Al which were good fun to do and feature a load of questions we asked for you to send in via the website. We also filmed Bob and Tony doing an acoustic version of a very well known track. And I'm not telling you what it is. Hah!
Once the rough cuts have been finished I'll be going through the edit in fine detail, making sure all the best shots are included. Once that's done it'll be final colour corrections and picture grading prior to encoding and authoring the DVD, along with all the extras.
It's a big job being entrusted with producing a DVD for such a well loved band, so I hope it all turns out OK for you all. Should do, because I'm a fan too ...

In einem Interview vor ein paar Tagen erklärte Tony, dass die DVD wohl im November auf den Markt kommt!

es gibt wieder was neues. Schaut mal, was ich auf Melodicrock.com gefunden habe...
MAGNUM BACK AT WORK ON NEW LIVE DVD:
Magnum have just returned from a warmly received appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival and are now currently working on a new live DVD entitled Back Street Kid which was recorded on tour earlier this year. The DVD will be a double disc in 5.1 sound with loads of extra behind the scenes and new interviews and even an unplugged version of a certain song! The DVD is due for release later in the year.

Hi,
laut Al ist der DVD-Titel noch nicht sicher, nur Spekulation von Melodicrock.com. Ist aber wohl einer von mehreren in der Diskussion.
"Spirit" glaube ich nicht. Den hatten wir in der Akustik-Version auf der 1988 Wings Of Heaven Tour.

ok...wenn ich es mir wünschen darf, ich hätte gern the spirit :-) das wohl mit abstand genialste livewerk des duo´s catley/clarkin. wer bei dieser live-version keine gänsehaut bekommt, ist selber schuld :-) ist auch mein absoluter favorit auf der gleichnamigen live-scheibe.
würde auch noch perfekt auf das wings of heaven video passen...

Hi Sleepwalker,
die Akustik-Live-Version vom Spirit, die auf dem 1988er Video fehlt ist auf der Maxi-Single Days Of No Trust mit drauf, daher glaube ich an einen völlig anderen Song. Jedoch hast du sicherlich Recht damit, dass das einer der besten Livesongs überhaupt ist!

Zu der DVD vom 21.7. - das wird die gute alte Camden 1985 DVD sein, die es mittlerweile in zig verschiedenen Varianten, allerdings immer mit dem gleichen Bild-und Tonmaterial gibt...

Hallo zusammen
Weiss jemand wie die Songauswahl für die Herbsttour ungefähr aussieht? Ähnlich wie im April? (Vor allem Storytellers Night...)
Besuchte das Konzert in Pratteln, war zwar gut, vermisste aber Sonds von Wings of Heaven etc.
